This role is responsible for optimizing transportation, warehousing, inventory flow, and vendor performance to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBLITIES</strong></p><h3><br></h3><h3>Logistics &amp; Transportation</h3><ul><li>Manage daily shipping and receiving operations, including freight scheduling, carrier coordination, and load planning.</li><li>Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers and logistics partners.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.</li><li>Monitor freight costs and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality.</li></ul><h3>Inventory &amp; Warehouse Management</h3><ul><li>Oversee warehouse layout, material flow, and inventory accuracy.</li><li>Implement and maintain cycle counting, inventory controls, and stocking strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with production and procurement to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency, safety, and organization.</li></ul><h3>Process Improvement &amp; Systems</h3><ul><li>Develop and refine logistics processes, SOPs, and KPIs to improve reliability and throughput.</li><li>Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track inventory, shipments, and production needs.</li><li>Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, forecast needs, and support strategic planning.</li></ul><h3>Leadership &amp; Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Lead, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics staff.</li><li>Partner with operations, sales, procurement, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics escalations and problem resolution.</li><li>&nbsp;Lead and sustain 5S warehouse management standards, including ongoing maintenance, audits, and implementation of corrective 5S activities as operational needs arise.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.&nbsp;</li><li>5+ years of logistics, warehouse, or supply chain experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of freight management, inventory control, and ERP systems.
