    "description": "<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<p><strong>We are seeking a CEI Inspector Trainee for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) practice in the Lake City, FL area.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an entry-level position in which the associate trains under field personnel to learn the concepts of construction observation under the direct supervision of a higher-level senior engineering technician or engineer. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, is enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and dependable. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the work</li>\n <li>Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work</li>\n <li>Verify the dimensions of prepared and completed work</li>\n <li>Inspect the construction work and conduct field tests</li>\n <li>Track/measure completed work quantities for payment</li>\n <li>Perform survey checks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HS Diploma or equivalent </li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications</li>\n <li>Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record</li>\n <li>Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames</li>\n <li>Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions</li>\n <li>Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks</li>\n <li>Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>401(k) with Company Match</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Certification and Licensure Support</li>\n <li>100% Employee Owned Company!</li>\n <li>Career Advancement Opportunities</li>\n <li>Pet Insurance</li>\n <li>Cellphone Stipend</li>\n <li>Company Vehicle</li>\n <li>And much more!</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-KZ1</p>\n<p><strong><em>An Equal Opportunity Employer.
