    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b>Primary </b><span><b>Responsibilities</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding on ferrous and nonferrous metals</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and manufacturer specifications</li>\n <li>Inspect welds and finished products to ensure quality and accuracy</li>\n <li>Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and shop machinery safely and efficiently</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with company safety policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Job Duties</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Create quality welds according to blueprints and weld symbols</li>\n <li>Prepare materials by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel and aluminum parts</li>\n <li>Lay out, position, align, fit, bolt, clamp, and tack-weld components for final welding</li>\n <li>Set up and weld parts using applicable welding equipment</li>\n <li>Change welding wire and gas tanks as needed</li>\n <li>Perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, and brazing using established procedures</li>\n <li>Use geometry, arithmetic, structural design, and metal thickness calculations to complete fabrication work accurately</li>\n <li>Maintain required production and welding documentation</li>\n <li>Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality standards</li>\n <li>Perform additional work-related duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Education and Qualifications</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li>\n <li>Commercial welding experience required</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints required</li>\n <li>Current and valid welding certification preferred</li>\n <li>Welding school or vocational training preferred</li>\n <li>Must pass the Grant Prideco welding test</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Veterans Welcome</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>At NOV Grant Prideco, we value the dedication, discipline, and skills that military veterans bring to the workforce.
