Other specialties include spine and scoliosis care, plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate care, comprehensive rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Part-Time <strong>Patient Care Assistant</strong> in our Inpatient Unit.  Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hours:  </strong>This part-time position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) and the hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The pay range for this position is $18.65/hour - $27.98/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.  </li>\n <li>The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.  </li>\n <li>Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.  </li>\n <li>Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma / GED</li>\n <li>Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)</li>\n <li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association</li>\n <li>One year of pediatric experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
