The ideal candidate will have experience and a love for working with children. We are looking for someone who can create a nurturing and exciting environment for young learners.<p><strong>Job Duties</strong><br>As a floating teacher you will have the opportunity to work in several different classrooms throughout the school. In addition, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children</p></li><li><p>Develop activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children</p></li><li><p>Clearly and effectively communicate with children, parents and staff</p></li><li><p>Supervise children at all times</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>The ideal candidate must be warm, nurturing and passionate about working with young children</p></li><li><p>EEC certification required, preferably Massachusetts<strong> EEC Director I or II certification</strong></p></li><li><p>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree and background in education/early childhood education preferred</p></li><li><p>Two years of relevant work experience, preferred</p></li><li><p>Able to stand for long periods of time and&#160;lift 50 pounds</p></li></ul><p><strong>Details</strong></p><ul><li>Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM</li><li>Salary is $42,000-$75,000 per year,&#160;commensurate with experience.</li><li>Health and vision insurance, prescription drug benefit</li><li>Healthcare/dependent care flexible spending account (FSA)</li><li>Long-term disability, life insurance</li><li>403(b) with employer matching</li><li>Paid holidays, sick&#160;and personal time, and early dismissal on Fridays</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and advancement</li></ul><p><strong>About the School</strong></p><p>Schechter Boston creates a Jewish educational experience where each child, 15 months through eighth grade, is known, belongs, is engaged and inspired.&#160; Faculty, staff and students at Schechter benefit from a highly collaborative, mutually supportive environment in which each person&#8217;s individual strengths are recognized and cultivated, and are vital to the success and learning of the community as a whole.
