With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role description:</strong></p>\n<p>We’re looking for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to support our US Places Design &amp; Engineering business area in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>You will work directly with other Fire Protection Engineers, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineers, Architects, and clients on a range of facility design projects, including Federal projects</p>\n<p>You will lead the fire protection discipline of multiple and concurrent projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Travel to project sites is required (approx. 1 week a month will be spent travelling)&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary coordination.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans, as well as identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Fluency in design and modeling software that includes&nbsp;Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Skilled in designing fire protection systems in heavy industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and processing facilities, e.g. water and wastewater treatment sites, EV assembly plants, lithium-ion battery plants, and data centres</li>\n <li>Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys, data collection for fire protection studies, and collaboration with client team members</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering with proven experience in a similar role&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States<i>&nbsp;</i>is essential<i>&nbsp;</i></li>\n <li>Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Deep knowledge of life safety codes</li>\n <li>Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NESC, UL, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>An advanced technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems, smoke control, and other related equipment and technologies&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills related to presentations, project communications, and written documents</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
