This position supports the College&rsquo;s mission by maintaining a clean, functional, and well-operating environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on campus buildings and systems&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building infrastructure&nbsp;</li><li>Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner using the College&rsquo;s work order system&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems to reduce downtime&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect facilities and identify maintenance needs or safety concerns&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with setup and breakdown of campus events, including furniture and equipment moves&nbsp;</li><li>Support seasonal operations such as snow removal and grounds-related tasks as needed&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when required&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with all College policies, procedures, and safety regulations&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of at least one skilled trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry)&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents, manuals, and work orders&nbsp;</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with an acceptable driving record&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Technical or trade school certification&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working in a higher education or institutional setting&nbsp;</li><li>EPA certification or other relevant trade certifications&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team&nbsp;</li><li>Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively&nbsp;</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>This position operates in a variety of environments including residential, academic, and outdoor campus settings.
