    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A</span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">BOUT THE ROLE</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Fort McKay First Nation is seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude to fill the position of Custodian. The Custodian performs heavy cleaning duties, including, but not limited to, cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, cleaning furniture, removing rubbish and disinfecting high contact surfaces. This is a permanent full time role located at our Elsie Fabian School.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"><em>Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Disinfect high contact surfaces with appropriate cleaners.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Gather and empty garbage at designated locations ensuring security away from rodents and larger animals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Service, clean, and supply restrooms.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Notify supervisor concerning the need for any repairs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Perform other related duties as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">KEY REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Past experience as a custodian or similar role</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, supplies, and techniques</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Able to perform heavy manual labour for extended periods of time</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to follow safety precautions involved with the work assigned</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Must be physically capable to perform duties assigned to job, including standing, sitting, moving, squatting, walking, climbing, pulling/pushing, and lifting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to handle janitorial equipment and tools</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to prioritize and focus on required tasks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work independently with integrity</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Be able to work in a fast-paced environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is an asset.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
