View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to <strong>CENTERS Benefits </strong>(click link to view).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>• Supervise camper activities to ensure a fun, safe environment• Execute weekly camp games, activities, on-campus field trips, crafts, etc.• Correctly respond to any injury or emergency situations• Provide encouragement to all participants in program• Monitor camper drop-off and pick-up each day• Fully participate in all camp games and activities, including swimming during pool time and belaying during climbing at the rock wall• Handle camper disputes and other behavioral issues; accordingly, discipline as necessary• Effectively communicate with parents and guardians throughout the camp day• Promote a safe, learning environment for campers• Be available for both morning, afternoon shifts, and periodically throughout the Fall and Spring semester.</p>\n<p>• Attend staff meetings as scheduled• Work within a non-smoking, physically active environment• Other duties as required</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong><em>[The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum education and/or hands-on experience necessary to perform each essential responsibility.]</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree seeking student at UAB</li>\n <li>Current CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer (CPRO) Certification</li>\n <li>Complete all other required training upon hiring: Safety Skills, Disability Support Services</li>\n <li>Certification, Emergency Evacuation Training Certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills:</strong><em>[The competencies listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential function.]</em></p>\n<p><em><strong>Technical Competencies</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer competency</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Professional Competencies</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to handle customer service issues as it relates to Camp activity</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with participants and professional staff</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask and manage time effectively and efficiently</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Environment and Physical Demands</h2>\n<h3>Work Environment and Physical Demands</h3>\n<h3><em>[The demands marked below are representative of those that will be required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
