    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Under the direction of a project lead, this position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers using your knowledge of design practices to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare construction sketches and details for:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV)</li>\n  <li>Traffic control plans and/or permit drawings</li>\n  <li>Structural facility drawings</li>\n  <li>Equipment drawings</li>\n  <li>Plans and profiles</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations.</li>\n <li>Develop Bills of Materials and estimates.</li>\n <li>Compile proper pole type and heights.</li>\n <li>Analyze and design priority feeds.</li>\n <li>Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.</li>\n <li>Plan modifications to the system.</li>\n <li>Develop work packages to troubleshoot, repair, replace or modify electrical distribution systems.</li>\n <li>Develop work packages and follow the performance of the work. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Dependent upon your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Drafting, and/or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, and/or a high school diploma.</li>\n <li>7 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience.</li>\n <li>A minimum of 10 years of distribution design experience.</li>\n <li>Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.</li>\n <li>Ability to visualize systems without the aid of the computer. </li>\n <li>An Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in applicable codes, standards, and distribution software programs.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.</li>\n <li>Experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 34 kV).</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with various distribution design/analysis software.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with GIS software.</li>\n <li>Experience in utility distribution inspections and/or construction.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
