The position will create draft reviews for submittal to Director of Clinical and Formulary Operations for approval prior to delivery to various internal and external parties. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary: </strong>The Formulary Operations Specialist is a highly independent and structural role within the Vertex team. This member is responsible for monitoring and identifying market changes and trends to ensure Vertex maintains a strong competitive position. This member is also responsible for developing key deliverables for internal and external clients expressing formulary, trends, placement, and differentiating information. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and deliver accurate market trend analyses, drug pipeline maps, and formulary documentation for internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of formulary-related deliverables across all outputs.</li>\n <li>Monitor and synthesize market and pipeline trends to support strategic and operational decision-making.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational standards in all formulary materials.</li>\n <li>Prepare and coordinate draft reviews for submission to the Director of Clinical and Formulary Operations.</li>\n <li>Incorporate feedback and revisions to finalize deliverables prior to distribution.</li>\n <li>Collaborate cross-functionally to align formulary operations deliverables with business and clinical objectives.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Licensure:</strong></p>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in good standing</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years of experience in drug information, formulary management, or managed care pharmacy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exposure to cost-effectiveness analysis and integration of clinical insights with financial considerations.</li>\n <li>Prior involvement in pipeline monitoring and formulary strategy development.</li>\n <li>Experience collaborating with analytics and finance teams for rebate and formulary optimization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Skills Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of FDA regulations, safety alerts, and compliance requirements for formulary processes. </li>\n <li>Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with drug information databases (e.g., Medispan, First Data Banks) and formulary management tools. </li>\n <li>Data Analytics: Ability to interpret formulary data structures and communicate data effectively with finance and analytics teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. </li>\n <li>Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing informational materials and presenting to committees. </li>\n <li>Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with clinical, financial, and operational teams to align formulary decisions with organizational goals. </li>\n <li>Problem-Solving: Strategic thinking to balance clinical and financial considerations in formulary development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> $30.00-35.00 per hour.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is a multistate organization and abides by all local, state and federal regulations as it pertains to minimum wage requirements.</p>",
