In this role, you’ll work independently within a machining cell—setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of precision machines—and you’ll play a key part in building high‑quality components that support our mission.</p>\n<p><b>What You Will Do:</b></p>\n<p><b>Run Advanced Precision Equipment</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up and operate lathes, grinders, milling machines, and other precision tools to verify performance and ensure parts meet customer specifications.</li>\n <li>Use your knowledge of prints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, and shop math—including trigonometry and descriptive geometry—to plan and perform work accurately.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Own Your Work From Start to Finish</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Determine machining methods and sequences to maximize machine capacity and minimize setups.</li>\n <li>Select the right tools, fixtures, and attachments for each assignment, identifying problems and taking corrective action when needed.</li>\n <li>Perform finishing, bench work, and hand‑tool operations to bring parts to their final specification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Ensure Accuracy and Quality</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Use calipers, gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools to verify part conformance.</li>\n <li>Confirm part finish, alignment, tolerances, and functionality.</li>\n <li>Provide feedback on part quality and contribute to continuous improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Use Your Technical Insight</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpret drawings and specification manuals to plan machining sequences.</li>\n <li>Monitor machine systems—including mechanical, electrical/electronic components, probes, sensors, and cutter data—to make proper adjustments.</li>\n <li>Work across multiple information systems to support your tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Support Smooth Operations</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with customers, support teams, and your supervisor to resolve design or developmental challenges.</li>\n <li>Coordinate, prepare, and move materials in your assigned area, including receiving, storing, issuing, and helping correct discrepancies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>What You Will Bring:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li><b>2–5 years</b> of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>What Makes You Stand Out:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of a machining apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on training</li>\n <li>Experience with <b>Esprit CAD/CAM</b> or <b>CREO Manufacturing</b> software</li>\n <li>A <b>Q‑Clearance</b> (or ability to obtain one)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Why You’ll Love This Role</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You’ll work with advanced equipment and grow your technical capabilities.</li>\n <li>You’ll have autonomy to solve problems and make decisions.</li>\n <li>You’ll join a team that values precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Every part you make contributes to something bigger—supporting critical national work and cutting‑edge technology.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</i></span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</i></span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
