Together, we are EXP.</p><p>Are you ready to design your future?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Be our next&nbsp;<strong>Structural Designer/Engineer&nbsp;</strong>for buildings projects <strong>(Aviation, Transit and Mission Critical).&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Your work environment at EXP</strong></p><p>In this role, you will be a part of a&nbsp;<strong>Building Structures&nbsp;</strong>focused<strong>&nbsp;</strong>team and reporting to the Director of Building Structures.&nbsp; This position will be located in the Columbus, OH office.</p><p>&nbsp;The Building Structures team executes projects throughout the United States and several US Territories.&nbsp; In addition, opportunities to support non-US based teams within EXP should be expected.</p><p>The successful candidate will be able to work as with a diverse team in-house team of professionals and subconsultants throughout the country in all disciplines.&nbsp; You will work and collaborate with experienced members of the Building Structures team for mentoring and career development.</p><p>The chosen candidate should expect engagement in a variety of project types. Major market sectors include but are not limited to mission critical buildings, aviation, light passenger rail facilities and commercial building design.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></p><ul><li>Generally, take direction from senior engineers and project leads.&nbsp; Expect autonomy and independence to be commensurate with experience.</li><li>Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, multi-discipline coordination should be expected on a regular basis.</li><li>Conducting observations of and evaluating existing conditions in both the field and via existing historical drawings are commonplace.</li><li>Expect to work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination of work between multiple EXP offices, as well as outside consultants.</li><li>Occasional short-term travel to project sites. Usually, a single night or two at a time.</li><li>Flexible hours and hybrid office attendance.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What your experience looks like</strong></p><ul><li>Targeted experience level is 0-3 years with a focus on building design.&nbsp;</li><li>Possess a solid understanding of various structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, ETABS.</li><li>Possess strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation at a minimum. Additional skills on items such as family creation, knowledge of parameter use, and templates is a plus.</li><li>Working towards EIT</li><li>Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering w/ an emphasis on structures and/or relevant advanced coursework is considered a minimum requirement.</li><li>Hold excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter in a concise and comprehendible manner to a less technical audience.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
