    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>Inova Central Lab is looking for a dedicated Lab Technician Assistant 2 PSC (LTA 2 PSC) to join the team located at 8078 Crescent Park Dr, Gainesville VA 20155.&nbsp;This role will be a part-time, day shift from Monday-Friday, Every Other Weekend from 8:00am-1:00pm</span></p>\n<p><span>Inova is consistently ranked as a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.</span></p>\n<p><span><b>Featured Benefits:</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><b>Committed to Team Member Health:&nbsp;</b>offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.</span></li>\n <li><span><b>Retirement: &nbsp;</b>Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</span></li>\n <li><span><b>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:&nbsp;</b>offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</span></li>\n <li><span><b>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</b>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</span></li>\n <li><span><b>Work/Life Balance:&nbsp;</b>offering paid time off, paid parental leave, flexible work schedules, and more!</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Lab Technician Assistant 2 PSC Job Responsibilities:</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Demonstrates understanding of and performs all procedures for obtaining, preparing, and packaging of specimens for transport; Evaluates specimen for acceptability per policy (volume, labeling, proper documentation for QA).</span></li>\n <li><span>Provides correct containers to patients with preservatives, when needed, as well as instructions for return of samples; Verifies collection technique, total volume, and correct.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintains clean, orderly and well-stocked department and notifies appropriate personnel of shortages; Completes necessary documentation accurately each shift.</span></li>\n <li><span>Participates in continuing educational requirements by attending meetings, responding to instructional e-mail, etc.; Attends 75% of all department meetings and reads minutes of 100% of staff meetings and communications; Completes Inova educational requirements and annual skills review by deadline.</span></li>\n <li><span>Handles specimens collected by special procedure properly per facility policy (Irretrievable specimens, pathology specimens, 24-hour urine, cultures, chain of custody collections, Newborn Screens etc.).</span></li>\n <li><span>Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><b>Minimum Education:</b></span>\n  <ul>\n   <li><span>High School diploma or GED equivalent</span></li>\n   <li><span>Completion of Phlebotomy training required: completion certification from a Phlebotomy program or another Allied Health Training program, such as Medical Assistant, MLT or MT.</span></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><span><b>Experience:&nbsp;</b>1 year of experience in a Patient Service Center environment or at least 6 months in an Inova PSC. This requirement can also be met by successfully completing the Inova Phlebotomy School</span></li>\n <li><span><b>Certification:&nbsp;</b>Basic Life Support within three months of start</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>#LI-AL1</span></p>",
