This assignment offers consistent weekday scheduling with additional on-call compensation and long-term contract stability.</p><p><br>Position Details:</p><ul><li>Location: Brooklyn VA Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY</li><li>Schedule: Monday through Friday</li><li>Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm</li><li>No telework permitted</li><li>Evening and weekend on-call coverage required</li><li>Providers must be available by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes if called back</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform a full scope of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:    <ul>      <li>Angiography</li>      <li>Balloon angioplasty and stent placement</li>      <li>Embolization and chemoembolization</li>      <li>Thrombolysis</li>      <li>Biopsies</li>      <li>Radiofrequency and cryoablation</li>      <li>TIPS placement</li>      <li>Vertebroplasty</li>      <li>Cholecystostomy</li>      <li>Nephrostomy placement</li>      <li>Line insertions, IVC filters, dialysis access procedures</li>      <li>Biliary interventions</li>    </ul></li><li>Review consults and procedure requests; determine clinical appropriateness and treatment plans.</li><li>Provide post-procedure follow-up and manage complications.</li><li>Communicate findings and results to referring providers and patients in accordance with VA policy.</li><li>Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR) per VA and HIPAA standards.</li><li>Provide on-call coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays:    <ul>      <li>Available by phone within 15 minutes</li>      <li>Able to report on-site within 60 minutes if called in</li>    </ul></li><li>Participate in peer review, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities.</li><li>Attend required staff meetings and specialty meetings.</li><li>Complete QA/QI documentation and patient safety reporting as required.</li><li>Comply with VA policies on patient safety, infection control, and professional conduct.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
