    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.18.17/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.18.17/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p><strong><em>PRN opportunities available.</em></strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Under direction, provides direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, performs technical nursing functions and upholds the standard of practice of a professional nurse in caring for infant through geriatric patients.</p><p><span id=\"isPasted\">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">Utilizes the nursing process as the basis for nursing care.</li><li>Provides direct patient care.</li><li>Performs nursing functions, applying professional skills.</li><li>Documents and maintains date on patient&rsquo;s record.</li><li>Maintains a safe environment.</li><li>Applies basic teaching / learning concepts to patient education.</li><li>Provides for life support.</li><li>Acts as a patient advocate.</li><li>Cooperates as a member of the nursing unit, department and overall hospital team.</li><li>Participates in performance improvement.</li><li>Delegates and / or supervises aspects of care to team members and reviews completion.</li><li>Performs related work as required.</li><li>Communicates pertinent data to appropriate parties.</li><li>Maintains patient confidentiality.</li><li>Conducts himself/herself effectively in stressful situations.</li><li>Approaches situations with distressed patients, families, and visitors in a calm, professional manner.</li><li>Collaborates with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.</li><li>Properly assesses and manages patient populations with appropriate intervention.</li><li>Administers intravenous medications and / or parenteral nutrition.</li><li>Administers blood products and evaluates patient response.</li></ul><p>Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with either an Associate or Bachelor degree.</p><p>License/Certification: La State Board of Nursing License and CPR required. &nbsp;ACLS and PALS preferred.</p><p>Additional experience preferred:</p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\">One year of RN experience preferred</li><li>Current knowledge of clinical practice.</li><li>Ability to operate and handle many kinds of complex equipment.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for adolescent through geriatric patients.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Knowledge of theory, principles, techniques, and practice of professional nursing; of scientific principles and nursing research; of preparation, administration, and actions of medications; of treatments and medical procedures; of counseling and teaching techniques; of medical equipment as it relates to patient care.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
