Description Adjunct Professor of Sociology Charleston Southern University Summary The Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an adjunct position starting August 1, 2026. This is a non-tenure-track, part-time teaching position for fall, spring and/or summer semesters. We encourage candidates who wish to teach online and/or in person in Charleston, South Carolina to apply. Responsibilities The adjunct instructor of Sociology will teach courses in the fall, spring and/or summer semesters as needed based on enrollment and expect to teach courses at all undergraduate levels both in-person or online. This position carries no service or research requirements, and it is paid on a per-credit-hour basis. Application Process Candidates should complete the online application. Review of credentials will begin immediately, and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
