Responsible for operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of building related mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems. Work involves the lifting of heavy mechanical equipment and apparatus, and may be performed in areas of extreme heat or cold. Receives and responds to service calls, takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#EGS</p>\n<p>#LI-NS1 </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of all related mechanical, electrical, control systems, air handling units, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and expansion joints.</li>\n <li>Install electrical circuits</li>\n <li>Repair all restroom fixtures, sweat/braze copper pipe.</li>\n <li>“Safe off” systems to facilitate repairs.</li>\n <li>Replace ceiling tiles, repair or replace door hardware, locks, panic bars etc.</li>\n <li>Perform minor electrical tasks to include bulb and ballast replacement.</li>\n <li>Routine operation and inspection of emergency generator, UPS and associated components.</li>\n <li>Request necessary material to complete required repairs.</li>\n <li>Routine and preventive maintenance duties including filter changes, belts, lubrication, control and performance check of building systems and equipment.</li>\n <li>Inspect mechanical, electrical systems, trace electrical circuits, operate switch-gear, record inspections, and write reports to Supervisors.</li>\n <li>Perform any additional duties on an as “required” basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Must hold one of the following certifications - Electrical Trainee (ET) card, Journeyman Electrician License or  EPA Universal</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Minimum of five (5) years experience in the operation of central building equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems. </strong></li>\n <li>Proven experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing,  Project Management, Sustainability Initiatives and Innovative Solutions</li>\n <li>Experience & proven ability to repair building electrical, plumbing, & HVAC auxiliary systems.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years experience in the operation of central building equipment, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and/or electronic systems.  Experience & proven ability to repair building electrical, plumbing, & HVAC auxiliary systems.</li>\n <li>Experience & proven ability to safely secure hydronic and electrical systems for maintenance.</li>\n <li>Experience & proven ability to Braze/Solder copper pie, thread black pipe.  Basic carpentry skills.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of operation of building auxiliary systems i.e. fire-life safety, stand by emergency generators, UPS Systems.</li>\n <li>Familiarity of general building systems i.e. vertical lift equipment, overhead doors.  Ability to write, execute written and oral instructions and perform arithmetic calculations.  Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations.</li>\n <li>Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks Safely and skillfully use all types of related hand and power tools.</li>\n <li>Hospital experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<p>Physical Requirements:In an 8-hour day, must be able to continually bend, squat, kneel, lift, twist, climb, reach, stand and walk; to use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling, and single grasp motion; and to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to move objects in excess of 100 pounds, and travel by government or company vehicle to work location or to other destinations as required.</p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
