The Industrial/Construction Electrician is responsible to for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our automated facility. Success in this role means contributing to a quality-driven, safety-first environment while delivering exceptional results for our customers. Veneer Sawmill is looking to fill Industrial/Construction Electrician position with a reliable and motivated person who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork. Some key responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: • Perform Maintenance : Perform the installation, verification and repair of cables, sockets, boxes, conduits, among others, electrical industrial control system devices and their devices. Being able to use specialized devices and software and make rapid diagnoses, while respecting occupational health and safety standards and laws. • R ead and Interpret Schematics: Use electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify and address electrical problems. Be able to read and understand diagrams plans and specifications. • Install and Test Systems: Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance, and perform preventive maintenance programs • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. • Work collaboratively with the management, production, and maintenance team. Working conditions: • Work in a manufacturing environment exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. • Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. • Availability to work various shifts, including days and nights shifts. As well as weekends as needed. Qualifications • Required Education: Industrial Electrician Diploma (Red Seal) or Construction.
