Assist in the technical design of large business systems; build applications, interfaces between applications, understand data security, retention, and recovery. Can research technologies independently and recommend appropriate solutions. Contribute to technology-specific best practices &amp; standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data&nbsp;integrity, maintainability, reuse, extensibility, usability and scalability; contribute expertise on significant application components, vendor products, program languages, databases, operating&nbsp;systems, etc., and guide less expert staff during the build and test phases. The Application Development team in IT Solutions group delivers solutions that respond to the business needs of&nbsp;the global capital markets with quality, efficiency, and excellence, using innovative technologies and providing secure information management.</span></p>\n<p><span>Primary Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Platforms – works with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments</li>\n <li>Requirements Elaboration – works with the Functional Architect to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements</li>\n <li>Data Modeling – reviews and extends data models</li>\n <li>Frameworks – is aware of frameworks that promote concepts of isolation, extensibility, and extendibility</li>\n <li>System Performance – contributes to solutions that satisfy performance requirements; constructs test cases and strategies that account for performance requirements; tunes application</li>\n <li>performance issues</li>\n <li>Security – implements solutions and complete test plans working mentoring other team members in standard process</li>\n <li>Standards – being aware of technology standards and understands technical solutions need to be consistent with them</li>\n <li>Documentation – develops and maintains system documentation</li>\n <li>Effectively manages individual and team performance, maintaining high standards for team members</li>\n <li>Supports team in managing client expectations and resolving issues on time</li>\n <li>Coordinate and Lead teams across different geographical locations</li>\n <li>Technology Selection - Assist in technology selection decisions;</li>\n <li>Manage technology risk for the project team;</li>\n <li>Be familiar and utilize Unix/Linux &amp; Amazon cloud: AWS, python, s3, snowflake;</li>\n <li>Platforms - Work with Infrastructure partners on Platforms to stand up development, testing, and production environments;</li>\n <li>Design Frameworks that promote concepts of isolation, extensibility, and extendibility.</li>\n <li>System Performance – Propose solutions that satisfy performance requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS<u>:</u>&nbsp; </strong>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job or related position. Prior experience to include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working in a Unix/Linux environment along with server hardware, networking, and general IT infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Leveraging DevOps techniques and practices including Continuous integration, Continuous deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Development to enable rapid delivery of working code utilizing tools including Jenkins, Cloud bees, and Git</li>\n <li>Experience with Agile methodology</li>\n <li>Designing and developing solutions using SQL, Python</li>\n <li>Working Knowledge of Data warehousing/Data lake Concepts.</li>\n <li>Development using XML, XSLT</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong>LOCATION</strong>:&nbsp;Tampa, FL. Telecommuting may be permitted a few days a week.
