    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PRIMARY FUNCTION</span></p>\n<p>The performs and supervises aircraft electrical and environmental (E &amp; E) functions and activities. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates integrated E&amp;E systems, components, and associated support equipment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspects and evaluates aircraft E&amp;E maintenance activities. Determines operational status of assigned assets. </li>\n<li>Maintains, repairs, and fabricates electrical wiring, harnesses, and connectors.</li>\n<li>Conducts operational checks and repairs / replaces damaged components and systems.</li>\n<li>Performs cryogenic maintenance on aircraft and aircraft servicing units.</li>\n<li>Maintains compressed gas equipment.</li>\n<li>Inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains aircraft E &amp; E systems, subsystems, components, and associated test equipment.</li>\n<li>Performs on-equipment maintenance in areas such as direct and alternating current; gas turbine compressors and auxiliary power units; landing gear, anti-skid, and nose wheel steering; electronic engine control, ignition, and starting; lighting; master caution and warning; take-off warning; flight control; cargo door and cargo delivery equipment; non-electro static application (NESA) windows; anti-icing; fire and overheat warning; fire extinguishing and suppression; fuel control; liquid cooling; air conditioning, bleed air, cabin pressurization, and auxiliary pressurization; oxygen; and aircraft utility systems.</li>\n<li>Performs off-equipment maintenance in areas such as E&amp;E system components and associated test equipment. </li>\n<li>Assists in T-38 aircraft jacking, lifting, mooring, and towing operations.</li>\n<li>Inspects and evaluates aircraft E&amp;E maintenance activities. Determines operational status of assigned assets.</li>\n<li>Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions.</li>\n<li>Inspects and checks components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.</li>\n<li>Reviews maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation.</li>\n<li>Performs pre-use inspections and operates powered and non-powered aerospace ground equipment.</li>\n<li>May be required to perform entry and maintenance tasks in confined spaces.</li>\n<li>Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.</li>\n<li>Uses automated maintenance systems. Inputs, validates, and analyzes data processed to automated systems.</li>\n<li>Inspects, clears, and closes out completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems.</li>\n<li>Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.</li>\n<li>Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards and company processes.</li>\n<li>Inventories and maintains alternate mission equipment. Inventories and maintains aircraft equipment.</li>\n<li>Use automated maintenance systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.</li>\n<li>Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.</li>\n<li>Maintain strict tool control procedures. Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor. Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools.</li>\n<li>Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance. Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.</li>\n<li>Maintain equipment records. Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily.</li>\n<li>The Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Technician will be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<p>This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &amp; ABILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly skilled in electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to E &amp; E systems.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li>\n<li>Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.</li>\n<li>Highly knowledgeable in principles applying to T-38 aircraft systems.</li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge in T-38 theory of aircraft flight, hydraulic principles, aircraft electrical concepts, and servicing concepts.</li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in Air Force Technical Order system, supply procedures, and deficiency reporting procedures.</li>\n<li>Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.</li>\n<li>Ability to enter data accurately into databases and write routine reports and correspondence.</li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.</li>\n<li>Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.</li>\n<li>Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow processes.</li>\n<li>Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.</li>\n<li>Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to company goals.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.</li>\n<li>High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.</li>\n<li>Willingness to assist teammates in accomplishing task.</li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n<li>8+ years of tactical Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems experience with fixed / rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.</li>\n<li>Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A6X6 Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems highly desirable.</li>\n<li>Multi aspect aviation qualifications / certifications / disciplines and ability to train these skills a must.</li>\n<li>Experience supporting DoD contracts.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance.</li>\n<li>Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant certification a plus</li>\n<li>Background in TCTO application a plus.</li>\n<li>Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.</li>\n</ul>",
