    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Moorings Park is looking for an <strong>Infection Control Preventionist &amp; Wound Care Specialist</strong>. The Infection Control Preventionist &amp; Wound Care Specialist oversees the facility infection control and wound care programs. Conducts wound care rounds with the facility wound care provider, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and clinical staff to establish and maintain treatment programs. Gathers and maintains the facility infection control program.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Contributions:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consults and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and healthcare professionals to plan, implement and evaluate residents wound care treatments and monitor the residents progress and clinical needs.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participates in quality committees including quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI), infection control, safety, risk management, etc.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Leads the identification and mitigation for resident risk factors for pressure ulcers/injuries.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assists the interdisciplinary team in identifying and managing resident pain related to wounds.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provides skin and wound care and treatments, as ordered.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Rounds weekly or more frequently as needed with the facility wound care provider or facility leadership.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provides information and care instructions to residents and families related to their specific condition(s) and treatments(s) in a language and format that can be understood by the resident/family.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provides guidance, education, and oversight to the facility staff regarding wound care practices and treatments.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Evaluates pressure-relieving devices, therapies, dressings and wound care products and make recommendations to the interdisciplinary team regarding their efficacy and use.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinates, implements, monitors, and updates the infection prevention and control program in accordance with current regulations and guidelines governing skilled nursing facilities.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitors and reports compliance with the IPC program to the administrator and QAPI committee.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensures the facility is compliant with current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and local regulations concerning infection prevention and control.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitors and ensures all personnel follow established infection prevention and control practices and techniques when caring for residents.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establishes and maintains an infection surveillance program based on standardized definitions of infections.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reviews, summarizes and reports data related to key infection prevention and control initiatives including antibiotic stewardship, healthcare acquired infections, immunization programs, and outbreaks.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reports all reportable diseases to the county and state health departments.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Completes any reportable information to state or federal government organizations related to resident vaccination, infections, etc.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assists with the coordination of residents&rsquo; flu shots.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Job Requirements:</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Associate degree or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nursing from an accredited program required&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Active Florida Registered Nurse licensure required&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Active Florida CPR Certification is required&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in a long-term care setting.
