KRCR has an exciting opportunity to join the #1 news team in Northern California as a Meteorologist / MMJ. This unique hybrid role presents the weather forecast on weekends and reports in the field 3 days a week. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Produce and present weather reports that are engaging and impactful to viewers</li>\n <li>Create weathercasts and other content for our broadcast, digital, and social platforms</li>\n <li>Research, write, and deliver weather stories in a clear and concise manner</li>\n <li>Pitch story ideas, develop contacts, and report 3 days a week</li>\n <li>Work with the weather team. managers, and producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations</li>\n <li>Fill-in coverage for morning and evening meteorologists&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Take part in promotional station opportunities, including public appearances</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills Needed:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories. We value visual and compelling storytelling.</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of meteorology and forecasting</li>\n <li>Sharp news judgment and strong writing skills</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks</li>\n <li>Proficient in social media</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.</li>\n <li>1 year of experience in weather presentation or reporting preferred.
