    "description": "<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span></p>\n<p>St. John’s Lutheran School of Baraboo is seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic Lower Grade Teacher to join our Christ-centered learning community. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes a competitive benefits package. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early elementary education and committed to nurturing students academically, socially, and spiritually.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About St. John’s Lutheran School</span></p>\n<p>St. John’s Lutheran School provides a structured, disciplined, and supportive learning environment where students grow in knowledge, character, and faith. We intentionally foster and espouse the values and teachings of Jesus Christ in daily instruction, relationships, and school culture. Our staff is known for being welcoming, collaborative, and supportive of one another as we work together in service to our students and families.</p>\n<p>St. John’s is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS); however, WELS membership is not a requirement for this position.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Community Highlights</span></p>\n<p>Baraboo, Wisconsin is a vibrant small town located in the beautiful Baraboo Bluffs, offering exceptional natural scenery and outdoor recreation. The community is in close proximity to Devils Lake State Park and many other recreational, cultural, and family-friendly amenities. Baraboo serves as the county seat of Sauk County and offers a strong sense of community with much to offer for individuals and families alike.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instruct and train all children in prescribed subjects and in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and best practices.</li>\n<li>Use the Gospel to empower, equip, and motivate students.<br>Work diligently and in faithful Christian love together with the called workers and staff of St. John’s</li>\n<li>Lutheran Church &amp;amp; School to provide the best possible service to the students and families.</li>\n<li>Maintain open communication with the parents.</li>\n<li>Foster and promote loving relationships with students, parents, and families.</li>\n<li>Work with and refer to school administration any complicated situations with parents/guardians.</li>\n<li>Keep accurate student attendance, discipline, and special needs records.</li>\n<li>Document all meetings, conferences, and phone calls. Communicate this information with the appropriate<br>personnel when necessary.</li>\n<li>Implement and manage school policies and procedures set forth by school administration and/or the School Board.</li>\n<li>Maintain confidentiality of all students, staff information, and records.</li>\n<li>Communicate openly and regularly with administration, parents, and staff to best support student success.</li>\n<li>Attend all faculty, staff, and in-service meetings unless excused by the school administrator.</li>\n<li>Actively apply God’s word throughout the school day.</li>\n<li>Develop yearly and weekly instruction and assessment plans</li>\n<li>Develop classroom schedules that coordinate with other classes and building needs.</li>\n<li>Assist in the development and improvement of successful school-wide curriculum</li>\n<li>Track worship attendance for students and families to the extent possible and regularly report that information to the school pastor.</li>\n<li>Serve in at least one additional role at St. John’s outside of regular classroom duties (ie- athletics, music, drama, choir, Sunday School, worship, etc...)</li>\n<li>Participate in and support extra-curriculars to demonstrate support for school and students</li>\n<li>Contribute to the promotion of St. John’s School to the greater Baraboo community</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consistent and regular use of the means of grace in public worship, public bible study, and private use of God’s word and serving as an example of living a Christian life.</li>\n<li>Elementary, Secondary or Early Childhood education degree</li>\n<li>State Certification or active pursuit there of</li>\n<li>Ability to work professionally and proficiently in a ministry team, understanding the importance of caring relationships between staff</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>A member in good standing in a Christian congregation</li>\n<li>Active support of the mission &amp;amp; ministry statements of St. John’s Lutheran Church &amp; School.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time salaried position</li>\n<li>Benefits package included</li>\n<li>Supportive administration and collegial staff</li>\n<li>Structured learning environment with strong student expectations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">How to Apply</span></p>\n<p>Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter expressing their interest in joining St. John’s Lutheran School.</p>",
