The individual will be working as a member of the Engineering Solutions branch responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. The Engineering Solutions branch performs cutting edge technology development work in support of the National Defense Strategy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Open to internal and external candidates. </em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be highly organized, have effective verbal and written communication skills, be able to work with discretion and confidentiality, proven time management skills, be proactive, and be willing to continually learn new duties and skills.              </p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for management of personnel and workflow for the Digital Solutions (DS) technology development section, ensuring development of technical approaches, use of judgment within defined practices and procedures, and making technical decisions, including making preliminary selections and adaptations of technical alternatives, for assigned work.</li>\n <li>Ensures execution of tasks for Engineering Solutions including custom application development, database management, AI/ML tasks, data analytics, development of PowerBI dashboards, CBM/AATN network administration, and other projects as assigned.</li>\n <li>Ensures all applications developed utilize clean, efficient, and well written code.</li>\n <li>Lead and contribute to code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain positive, open relationships with AEDC counterparts and with DS development customers.</li>\n <li>Develop a positive working relationship with and integrate our development processes with the Mission Information Systems subdirectorate, ensuring our applications are meeting all requirements of the TOS II contract </li>\n <li>Champions a work environment which fosters openness, trust, communications, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.</li>\n <li>Determine and monitor the staffing assignments to effectively execute DS workload.</li>\n <li>Manage employee performance and delivery of applied technology development activities supporting the Air Force (AF) Analysis and Technology Branch, AF Test Support branch, Test Mission Areas, as well as external customers. </li>\n <li>Actively participate in the development of employee goals and objectives.</li>\n <li>Conducts annual performance reviews in accordance with approved BNH procedures and holds career development discussions</li>\n <li>Conduct strategic planning with principal investigators, subject matter experts, and program managers for the technology budget allocations each year.</li>\n <li>Provide weekly input for discussion with BNH leadership regarding status of DS section activities.</li>\n <li>Administer personnel discipline.</li>\n <li>Exemplifies the company core value and covenant of safety in all aspects of job including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Physics, or related scientific discipline from an accredited university with minimum 5 years of progressive work experience in technical environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to obtain & maintain security clearance & access to DoD network & computer systems</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 2 years of engineering management experience in leading teams and allocating limited resources among competing demands.</li>\n <li>Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or other related field. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#, Java</li>\n <li>Strong change management leadership;
