    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong> </p>\n<p>​Direct and oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and healthy environment for patient care. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Assist in the day-to-day performance and operation of housekeeping duties for the facility.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or laws. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Follow organization policy and procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides or cleaning equipment.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Provide guidance to staff to ensure work assignments and cleaning schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift / area. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Launder soiled linens as directed. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and linens for department/unit use. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for the facility. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Adhere to infection control measures.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Responsible for the supervision of staff, provides orientation and training for new personnel.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​High school diploma or equivalent required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Three or more years’ housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Knowledge of sanitation techniques and equipment operation with training in universal precautions and infection control preferred.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>​ </p>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>ADDITIONAL REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>​ </p>\n<p><strong><em>​</em></strong><strong><em>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances </em></strong> <strong><em>(e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.</em></strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>EASTN</p>\n<p>#LI-ETBH</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>",
