Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\"><strong>How you’ll contribute&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 8pt;\">A Mammography Technologist who excels in this role:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">May assist physician with performing interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s), biopsies, stereotactic and special procedures.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participates in ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations and applicable accreditations.</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
