    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>Nurse Technician Position Summary\n <p>Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), performs basic patient care activities and unit support tasks to promote safe, efficient care and patient throughput. Assists with activities of daily living, routine monitoring, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment; supports nursing/physician staff and tech desk operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. <strong>FLSA:</strong> Non-Exempt.</p>Essential Functions\n <ul>\n  <li>Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.</li>\n  <li>Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).</li>\n  <li>Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.</li>\n  <li>Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.</li>\n  <li>Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.</li>\n  <li>Documents care and activities per unit standards.</li>\n  <li>Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n </ul>Additional Information\n <p><strong>Populations Served:</strong> Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.</p>\n <p><strong>Protected Health Information Accessed:</strong> Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.</p>\n <p><strong>Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure:</strong> Occupational exposure may be present for all employees in this role.</p>\n <p><strong>Physical Requirements (typical):</strong> Frequent standing, walking, reaching, keyboard entry, repetitive movements, kneeling, and lifting/moving patients; occasional sitting and squatting; rare running or climbing. Near/far vision and depth perception frequent/constant; color distinction frequent.</p>\n <p><strong>Environmental Exposures:</strong> Occasional exposure to biohazardous waste, communicable diseases/pathogens, dust, gases/vapors/fumes, and hazardous chemicals/medications; latex exposure frequent.</p>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities\n <p><strong>Education:</strong> High School diploma preferred.</p>\n <p><strong>License:</strong> SRNA or EMT preferred.</p>\n <p><strong>Certifications:</strong> CNA certification, BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.</p>\n <p><strong>Skills:</strong> Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.</p>\n</div>",
