Description

Under the direction of the Department Manager, the B&O Saw Operator ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The B&O Saw operator will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. The general purpose of the B&O Saw Operator is to control and operate metal saw and applicable processes using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity. Communicate with lead or supervisor to determine run schedule. Load and unload materials into and out of production equipment conveyors, and conveyances. Set up, operate, or tend saw that cuts aluminum extrusions to specified dimensions. Follow run schedule and retrieve materials needed. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standard. Count finished products or work pieces and record accurately. Clean machines, work area, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions, brooms and rags. Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection while adhering to all general safety policies. In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local standards and regulations. Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding safety and standards of workplace behavior, in completing job duties and assignments
