    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Tier One Technologies is seeking a Policy Specialist for our US Government client.</li>\n <li>This remote contract-to-hire position will be originated in Falls Church, VA.</li>\n <li>SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Research, draft, and analyze policies to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs, subject matter experts, industry standards, and organizational goals.</li>\n <li>Conduct gap analyses against industry frameworks and regulatory requirements, to recommend policy enhancements.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with security engineers, compliance officers, and business managers to ensure policies are both technically sound and operationally practical.</li>\n <li>Translate technical security concepts into clear, concise, and accessible documentation for diverse audiences.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to update CISO policies for annual lifecycle updates.</li>\n <li>Review and contribute to policies and standards for groups outside of CISO.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, law, economics, or a related field. </li>\n <li>8+ years of IT related professional experience. </li>\n <li>2+ years of technical writing experience in policy analysis or a related role.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with AI tools and capabilities to perform technical writing.</li>\n <li>Good working knowledge of NIST CSF and CIS Controls and other relevant security frameworks.</li>\n <li>Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and actionable language.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.</li>\n <li>Strong research skills, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to lifecycle updates.</li>\n <li>Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with security governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) processes.</li>\n <li>Must be eligible and able to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust.</li>\n <li>All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).</li>\n <li>Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.</li>\n <li>Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.</li>\n</ul>",
