We move fast, with precision, and always execute with privacy at the forefront.</span></p><p></p><p><span>​We’re looking for a Security Engineering Manager to lead our Detection &amp; Response team here at Snap!</span></p><p></p><p>What you’ll do:</p><ul><li><p><span>Identify opportunities and assume direct ownership of multi-year, high-impact initiatives which scale our security monitoring efforts in a cost effective manner</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure that security monitoring infrastructure, investigation tooling, and automation systems we build consistently demonstrate high technical quality and operational excellence</span></p></li><li><p><span>Make judicious prioritization decisions that balance short term goals vs. long term security outcomes, team productivity, operational posture, and system health</span></p></li><li><p><span>Directly participate in D&amp;R operations, investigate events generated by the alerting pipeline and triage potential incidents</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work closely with multiple Snap Inc. teams during security incidents and drive response efforts</span></p></li><li><p><span>Align the team’s direction with the strategic goals of the organization and participate in quarterly/annual planning exercises</span></p></li><li><p><span>Facilitate effective collaboration across different stakeholders, dependencies and cross-organizational partners</span></p></li><li><p><span>Utilize AI tools and high velocity engineering workflows while upholding rigorous standards for code correctness, security, and production ready quality code. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Invest in your team members’ career growth, use effective performance management tools, and build mechanisms to delegate execution and ensure excellence</span></p></li><li><p><span>Recruit high caliber engineers to your team and build an engaging, collaborative, and productive team which positively influences the culture of the broader organization</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</p><ul><li><p><span>Proven experience in one or more of the following detection and response areas: digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host/network intrusion detection, threat intelligence</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency in, or a strong aptitude for, leveraging AI tools to streamline development, paired with the critical judgment to audit generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools to remain at the forefront of engineering trends and modern development practices.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Development skills in Python, Go, and/or Java</span></p></li><li><p><span>Advanced knowledge of operating system internals, and a core competency in two or more of the following: macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform</span><br /> </p></li></ul><p>Minimum Qualifications:<span> </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent years of experience in a related technical field</span></p></li><li><p><span>8&#43; years of post- bachelor’s security experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field &#43; 7&#43; years of post-grad security experience; or a PhD in a related technical field &#43; 4 years of post-grad security experience </span></p></li><li><p><span>1&#43; year(s) of experience as an Engineering Manager</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p><span>Demonstrated knowledge in threat hunting and developing logic to automate threat detection and incident response</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with cloud-based services and infrastructure (Google Cloud, Workspace, AWS, etc.)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail</span></p></li><li><p><span>Practical experience in a BeyondCorp model</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company</span></p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><span>If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some </span><a href=\"https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScV7t31iR3yYR9ztGDHJpbvL63svWpb6s0afkBkLEjGnDx4Kg/viewform\" target=\"_blank\"><u>information</u></a>.</p><p></p><p><span>&#34;Default Together&#34; Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
