As a Hosting and Infrastructure Platform Engineer working at our San Antonio headquarters office, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise I/S infrastructure primarily focused on operating systems, server hardware, virtualization, containerization across on-premises and cloud environments. Contribute to long-term planning for Infrastructure solutions related to hosting Design, implement, and operate enterprise solutions based on RHEL Linux, Windows Server OS, container orchestration platforms, Broadcom VCF, and systems that enable emerging technologies such as AI/ML workloads. Design, implement, and operate Cisco UCS server hardware Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application development, and security to ensure solutions meet organizational needs Manage and maintain infrastructure lifecycle operations, workload domain configuration, and integration with storage and network platforms. Documents knowledge acquired and technical specifications into a knowledge management system. This includes adhering to established documenting standards. Coordinate the adoption of new procedures resulting from software and hardware changes, including the development of system specifications, documentation, training, and communication plans. Performs analysis on (including performance and capacity) as well as recommending quality complex solutions Understand and applies the various IT methodologies which include project management, development, service management, and system architecture. Follow ITIL based service management processes (Change, Incident, Request) This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience with Windows Server Operating System, virtualization, and server hardware Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required. Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor%27s degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field. Experience with Windows Server OS and VMWare VCF, VKS Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services Experience with RHEL8,9 with RedHat Satellite in an enterprise environment Experience with Cisco UCS Manager, Cisco IMC management, Cisco Intersight in a large environment Experience with containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Podman PowerShell and Python scripting experience Collaborate with data, platform, and AI engineering teams to ensure infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability for AI/ML workloads and GPU-enabled systems. Experience with service management processes and procedures (Change, Incident, Request) Experience operating and maintaining a variety of complex, mission critical I/S systems.
