Develop design concepts given the client’s goals and budget expectations.</li><li>Write project specifications.</li><li>Perform energy payback analysis.</li><li>Design overall system, assuring project compliance with codes and standards.</li><li>Manage project discipline staff, budget and assignments.</li><li>Maintain project quality assurance, coordination with other trades.</li><li>Maintain and manage client and contractor relationships.</li><li>Perform field reviews, investigations, and process submittals during construction phase.</li><li>Work with and supervise other people to perform different tasks at the same time while maintaining project schedules and budgets.</li><li>Serving as a mentor, work with junior designers so they develop into experienced engineers.</li><li>Produce proposals and make presentations.</li><li>Stay abreast of state-of-the-art design through independent reading, attendance of seminars and continuing education.
