    "requisitionDescription": "<div data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking an instructor of Beginner ESL (English as a Second Language). Program classes provide instruction to our Beginner ESL courses (Basics, Foundations and PREP).<br><br>This is a part-time, hourly position.&nbsp;</div><p><br></p><div>&nbsp;<strong>Example of Duties:</strong></div><ul><li>Provide classroom instruction to participants in our intensive Beginner ESL classes focused on reading, writing, and speaking, in accordance with the College&#39;s academic calendar and approved syllabi.</li><li>Maintain scrupulous attendance.</li><li>Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.</li><li>Assist Adult Education staff with student advisement, coaching and registration.</li><li>Meet all scheduled class sessions.</li><li>Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College&#39;s student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.</li></ul><div style=\"text-align: left; text-indent: 0px; line-height: 1.25; margin: 0px 0px 1rem; font-family: Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Qualifications:</span></div><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in a related field required.</li><li>Some experience in teaching low-level ESL required.</li><li>Best Plus testing certification is plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow curriculum guidelines.</li><li>Expected to be available on the Main Campus in Paterson and at the Passaic Academic Center.</li><li>Ability to work during day, evening, and weekend hours, as program requires.</li></ul><div>The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.</div><p><br></p><div style=\"margin: 0px 0px 1rem;\"><div><span style=\"font-weight: 700;\">Compensation:</span> Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications.
