Description
Clinician (Clinical Therapist) — In-Home Therapy
Roxbury, MA | Independent Contractor (1099) | Flexible Schedule
About The Osiris Group
The Osiris Group and the Osiris Family Institute exist to strengthen the Black family and resurrect the Black community through culturally competent, Afro-centric mental health care. We believe that cultural competence — truly understanding the perspectives, values, and lived experiences of Black and Latino communities — is the foundation of effective clinical work.
Our practitioners are dedicated to helping individuals and families live in the present, without allowing past hardships to become permanent barriers to mental wellness and growth. We do this by destigmatizing mental illness and delivering evidence-based therapies within a framework that honors culture, identity, and community.
Our culture is built on creativity, integrity, growth, and teamwork. If you are passionate about using your clinical expertise to help families navigate their toughest challenges and are committed to providing care that is both clinically excellent and deeply culturally informed, we want to hear from you.
Role Overview
The Clinician (Clinical Therapist) provides In-Home Therapy to youth and families within their assigned catchment area, operating in compliance with In-Home Therapy Performance Specifications. Working under the license of a clinical supervisor (LICSW or LMHC), the Clinician delivers direct therapeutic services, collaborates with Therapeutic Mentors and natural supports, and works closely with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to provide family stabilization and reunification services.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Compensation is fee-for-service.
Supervision & Support
At Osiris, we are committed to your professional growth and clinical success. As a Clinician, you will receive:
Weekly individual supervision with a licensed Clinical Supervisor (LICSW or LMHC), conducted virtually
Oversight and licensure coverage under your Clinical Supervisor's license — no independent licensure required
Ongoing training opportunities, including CANS certification support (online training available if not yet certified)
A collaborative team environment with access to Therapeutic Mentors and collateral providers
Flex Pay Benefit: a $100 monthly balance allotted to each clinical provider to purchase items for the families you serve; reimbursement processed upon submission of receipts through our in-house system
Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Clinical Services
Use established psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to improve the youth's social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, prevent inpatient admission, and strengthen caregivers' parenting skills
Conduct thorough and timely assessments; obtain required approvals before filing and provide all needed updates
Develop treatment plans collaboratively with families and collaterals that prioritize needs and set measurable goals; revise as intervention proceeds
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk assessment and safety plan with the youth and family
Ensure specialist consultations, evaluations, and referrals are requested as needed
If the youth is enrolled in Intensive Care Coordination, they participate in all care planning meetings and processes
Respond to client emergencies as needed and follow on-call policies and procedures
Collaboration & Teamwork
Collaborate with the Therapeutic Mentor in implementing the treatment plan to support youth and family in achieving goals
Plan and conduct family and individual meetings with flexibility in times and locations to best serve clients
Build and maintain ongoing teamwork with family members, formal providers, natural supports, and others to sustain progress
Organize, attend, and travel to meetings and appointments across various community locations
Keep the Osiris Clinical Supervisor informed of progress on all cases
Keep DCF collaboratives (social workers, supervisors, and leads) informed of progress per DCF guidelines
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain paper and electronic records in an orderly and timely manner
Remain compliant with billing, documentation, and minimum service delivery requirements to substantiate each billable unit
Write progress notes in the DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan) format
Adhere to provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter); report all reportable occurrences immediately
Maintain client confidentiality at all times; adhere to HIPAA standards and regulations
Adhere to clinical recommendations from clinical administration
Complete all required training, including CANS certification
Maintain contact with the site by checking voicemail and texts regularly
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)
CANS certification (online training available for candidates not yet certified — Osiris will support you in obtaining this prior to caseload assignment)
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Knowledge of DAP progress note format
Valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and access to a reliable personal vehicle for travel to client homes
Liability insurance (required of all independent contractors)
Preferred/Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Welligent EHR
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Meet)
Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Familiarity with DCF processes and community-based mental health service delivery
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of child development across physical, mental, and emotional domains
Clinical and psychiatric knowledge, with the ability to apply evidence-based interventions
Excellent communication skills in community-based settings; ability to build trust with clients and families
Highly self-motivated and able to manage an independent caseload with minimal oversight
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
