You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists and supports projects and operations in the direct procurement process </li>\n <li>Assists in the preparation of draft project specific Request for Quotations (RFQ) of Engineered to Order packages for equipment suppliers and/or manufacturers; confirms that the process meets GBC contract terms </li>\n <li>Assists in the prequalification of bidders </li>\n <li>Assists in the technical bid evaluations </li>\n <li>Assists in the preparation of purchase recommendations  </li>\n <li>Assists in the preparation of purchase order (PO) content prior to release to purchasing department </li>\n <li>Assists in the review of the PO prior to release to supplier  </li>\n <li>Monitors order life cycle from submittal approval process to shipment or assignment </li>\n <li>Engages with vendors on a regular cadence to monitor and report on delivery activities and verify major package receipts</li>\n <li>Assists in gathering input for the quarterly company market publication</li>\n <li>Coaches and mentors less experienced team members</li>\n <li>Supports a positive and inclusive work environment </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field  </li>\n <li>5-7 years of experience in engineering, subcontracting, sourcing, or supply chain </li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications  </li>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and risk mitigation </li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills </li>\n <li>Advanced oral communication, written communication, and people skills </li>\n <li>Ability to execute and collaborate on multiple varied projects at one time, with frequent changing priorities </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.</p>\n<p>For Virginia this ranges from $95,000-115,000 plus benefits and retirement program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
