Our purpose: Bringing quality, safety, and sustainability to life.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>The <strong>Engineer - HAZLOC Regulatory Compliance</strong>&nbsp;position is responsible for&nbsp;performing electrical testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian and other international&nbsp;product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Calibri&quot;,sans-serif;\">The salary range for this position is </span>$65K - $75K Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;</p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, Intertek employees are eligible for a variety of benefits including paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, paid parental leave, medical plan options, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, tuition reimbursement, and more.</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><p>Listed examples are illustrative, and representative of the tasks required of this <strong>Engineer</strong> position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive.</p><ul><li>Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).</li><li>Read and understand schematics and manufacturing&nbsp;instructions.</li><li>Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. Core tests include, but are not limited to: rating, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, abnormal and fault insurance, rain, radiation, sound, laser.</li><li>Set up and operate standard test equipment including, but not limited to, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multi-meter, dielectric strength tester, ground continuity tester, digital multi-meter, surge generator, over-voltage tester, environmental condition chamber, articulated probes. Use hand tools to build/calibrate test fixtures.</li><li>Following sample handling procedures, ensure that sample is logged into and out of the system. Move equipment as needed through the facility.</li><li>Compile test results during construction review and testing.&nbsp; Compile data and product description and type final report using established report shell.&nbsp; Submit report to reviewer for final approval.</li><li>Communicate project status and test results to client, sales personnel, and management throughout testing. Provide on-going support to clients as needed.</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
