Our Biblical Framework and “Love One Another” Christian ministry theme (John 13:34) guide every action and help us to focus on our Mission: To honor God by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of older adults.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Overview:</strong> The Nursing Assistant is responsible for the provision of high-quality care and services to residents to support the choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices. The Nursing Assistant is expected to enroll in a Certified Nursing Assistant course upon starting work for PHS.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to residents under the direction of nursing and medical staff.</li>\n <li>Answer call lights or intercom system to determine residents’ needs.</li>\n <li>Bathe, dress, and undress residents.</li>\n <li>Serve, collect and store meals or food trays, prepare light meals and snacks and feed residents requiring help.</li>\n <li>Provide transfer assistance including stand by, one person assist, use of mechanical devices to assist residents with transfer/repositioning.</li>\n <li>Transport residents, using wheelchair, mechanical devices or stand by assist residents to walk.</li>\n <li>Drape residents for examination and treatment.</li>\n <li>Turn and reposition bedfast residents to prevent bedsores.</li>\n <li>Change bed linens, clean and stock supplies.</li>\n <li>Direct visitors, and answer telephone.</li>\n <li>Medication Administration in Assisted Living.</li>\n <li>Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and food and fluid intake as directed.</li>\n <li>Incontinence care, preventative skin care, catheter care and toileting assistance.</li>\n <li>Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices. #PHScaregiver </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Position requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.</li>\n <li>Pass criminal background check</li>\n <li>Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, and self-leadership skills, </li>\n <li>Ability to stand/walk/balance for up to the entire shift.</li>\n <li>Ability to carry/push/pull/lift/move objects or residents up to 50 lbs. for up to the entire shift.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with an assistive device for up to one-third of the shift.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Work will be performed at a PHS location within the MN BLS areas 33460 (Mpls-St. Paul metro) or 2700003 (Hutchinson, MN).  Job ID-2026-28996</p>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>The estimated starting pay range for this role is $21 - $24.25 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role.
