We’re looking for someone with ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation. The Laboratory Technician will work a rotating shift schedule that will include evenings, overtime, and weekend coverage.</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm, M-F 1pm-10pm, Weekends, as needed</strong></p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p>The base wage or salary range for this position is $25 - $26/hr. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Cleans glassware and test equipment.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Assists with preparing reagents, as needed.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to LIMS system.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Responsible for maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Responsible for complying with safety, quality and housekeeping requirements.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Participates in cross training, as needed.</li></ul><p>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Gas chromatography (GC) experience required</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must demonstrate ability to multi-task in high production testing areas</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must possess good math and observation skills</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must demonstrate proficiency using LIMS applications and established chemistry lab processes</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must demonstrate excellent team communication, coordination and cooperation</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must demonstrate ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must demonstrate ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 50 pounds</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Ok with exposure to various chemicals being tested</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"margin-top: 0in;\"><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred</li><li>College level Chemistry degree and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
