The ideal candidate employs a variety of comprehensible input strategies, incorporates the cultures of the Francophone world, and designs engaging, student-centered lessons. At Viewpoint, the French program participates in Le Grand Concours, the French Honors Society, The American French Film Festival, and American Association for Teachers of French events. Successful candidates should be fluent in French, have demonstrated teaching experience in language acquisition, and an advanced degree in French or education is preferred. We seek applicants who wish to be involved in clubs, chaperone international trips, serve as advisors, desire to collaborate across divisions, and are willing to work closely with departmental colleagues in the areas of curriculum design and development to create content.
