    "description_html": "<p><strong>Job summary:</strong></p><p>Inspectors work throughout the plant but primarily at the end of the Upholstery line to inspect finished furniture before it is sent to the Shipping department. This position requires a close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </p><p><strong>Summary of essential job functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Inspects completed furniture for defects in finish, construction, or upholstery, to ensure conformance with manufacturing standards: Verifies color, pattern, and grade of upholstery, using ticket specifications</li><li>Inspects upholstery cover for rips in fabric or seams</li><li>Feels upholstery padding to determine if padding conforms to specified degree of firmness</li><li>Examines wooden surfaces for defects in assembly, wood, or finish</li><li>Removes wrinkles, using hand steamer and removes soil marks using cleaning fluid</li><li>May stamp or mark furniture to indicate acceptation or rejection</li><li>May repair minor defects in finish, using heated blade, wax, lacquer, and stain stick</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma preferred, and previous furniture inspection experience highly preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Abilities required:</strong></p><ul><li>Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity</li><li>Attention to detail/high quality expectations</li><li>Must perform job with safety as a top priority</li><li>Must be able to show up to work on-time, every day, and take direction from supervisor(s)</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift (8 to 10 hrs. per day)</li><li>Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively on a daily basis</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>401K</li><li>Medical</li><li>Dental</li><li>Short Term Disability</li><li>Vacation Pay</li><li>Great Pay, Great Company, Great Atmosphere</li><li>Family owned company for over 80+ years</li></ul><p></p><p>Legal Disclaimer: Jackson Furniture is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
