Description PAY AND FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) STATUS : Pay Range: 866 Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $34.00 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant. APPLICATION INFORMATION This position requires applicants to be at least 18 years of age at the time of application submission. Employees in part-time/year-round positions may work no more than 29 hours per week. When completing the application, applicants will be asked to respond to application questions. Completion of the application questions is required. Applicant responses to the application questions must specifically answer the questions asked. Responses to application questions must be supported by work history/information listed on the application/resume. Applicants may upload only two attachments. Attachments may include, but are not limited to a resume, cover letter, transcripts, etc. Applicants may also choose to combine documents into one field for upload. Applications may not be reviewed if specific responses to application questions have not been provided. Each application submission is reviewed independently. DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION The Program Specialist is responsible for delivering technical support for enterprise hardware and software, managing installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across both desktop and mobile environments. This role also involves working with departmental personnel and applying project management practices to coordinate with cross-functional teams, optimize workflows, and drive successful project outcomes. JOB SUMMARY This position is located in the Utilities Enterprise System Division of the Utilities Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This job includes professional and management occupations requiring extensive courses of study (typically four or more years education, degrees, professional certification and/or licensing) or some combination of education and experience in related types of work. The employee may perform as a specialist, team lead or functional supervisor; manage special projects or professional program functions or activities, conduct research, audit or monitor program functions and activities, exchange information, and perform professional, technical or operational tasks using skill, knowledge and ability acquired through prolong educational courses of study. Knowledge of organizational, managerial, and administrative concepts and principles of the designated profession, skill in research principles and practices, and specialized knowledge of specific professional occupations including: engineering; architecture; accounting; urban planning; legal or technical advisors; scientists; supervisors; and other management professionals; may be required to fully function in the assigned position. Ability to travel is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Actively pursuing a degree in IT or Computer Science, or those with certifications such as CompTIA A+. Experience with the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of client computer hardware, peripherals and existing enterprise operating systems for desktop and mobile devices. Knowledge of best practices in providing technical support to an enterprise workforce. Knowledge of standard Project Management methodologies used to implement multi-tier systems, including hardware and application components. Knowledge of Power BI reporting. OTHER DETAILS Pay Method: City employees are required to receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card.
