    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ABOUT THE ROLE</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">We are seeking a passionate Educator in<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Cree Language </span>to join our school team. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cree Language Teacher</span> is responsible for the development and instruction of the Cree language program in Fort McKay. This position will include classroom instruction and the development of Cree language materials and resources. The incumbent will utilize a team-centered approach and work with school staff, parents, students and community members. This is a <em>full-time</em> contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, reporting directly to the Principal of Elsie Fabian School.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><em>Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Coordinate language and culture programing and curriculum development within Fort McKay School and teach Cree language and culture in accordance with the school schedule</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Develop a Cree Language Program that promotes best practices in learning, assessment and instruction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work with staff to promote Cree language integration in all classes and in all subjects</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bring Cree knowledge base of cultural competency in the design and development of resources</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assist in developing and conveying a positive image of Cree Language and culture to the school and community</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Provide student assessment and reports in accordance with the school calendar</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work both autonomously and in teams on diverse language projects</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">In collaboration with the Language and Culture Teachers, assist with cultural events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Continuously provide inquiry and reflect on teaching best practices</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Review of current literature on best practices in Cree Language and Culture</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Attend in-services and workshops as approved by the Director of Education</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Other duties shall be assigned as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KEY REQUIREMENTS</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s Degree in Education</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Extensive Knowledge of Cree Language instruction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Fluency in Cree language both written and oral</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Respect and understanding for Fort McKay traditions, values, and culture</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Enthusiasm, flexibility, dedication and commitment to community language and culture revitalization</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Previous teaching experience and strong classroom management skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is a definite asset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
