          "text": "<p><strong>AECOM</strong> is seeking an entry-level <strong>Project</strong> <strong>Geologist</strong> to be based in <strong>Pittsburgh, PA.</strong></p><p><em>This position is expected to begin ASAP.</em></p><p>The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in both the field and office settings. Field work is required and will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. Office activities will involve reports preparations related to data collected in the field.</p><p>Candidate must be able to work as part of a project team consisting of AECOM staff and subcontractors. The candidate must have a flexible schedule to work on a variety of projects. A commitment to workplace health and safety is required.</p><p><em>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:</em></p><ul><li>Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, surface water, groundwater, and remediation system data; soil logging; and fluid level gauging.</li><li>Oversight of contractors conducting field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations, and utility clearance for intrusive operations.</li><li>Participation in a health and safety team performing inspections, observations, and training.</li><li>Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.</li><li>Supporting office tasks, including data entry, data analysis, report preparation, and maintenance of a records archive system.</li><li>Collect and record data and compare results to relevant studies and state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.</li><li>Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science Degree in the Geological, Hydrogeological, or Environmental Sciences; Engineering; or a related field.</li><li>Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.</li><li>As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.</li><li>Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.</li><li>Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Independent field work and leadership of field teams.</li><li>Contractor oversight.</li><li>Ability to understand and supervise advancement of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells.</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work in a primary technical role relating to: Site characterization, subsurface investigation, sample collection on remediation projects at various client sites.</li><li>Possesses technical writing skills used to prepare site investigation reports.</li><li>Learn and develop an understanding of hazard recognition</li><li>Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; MS Word and MS Excel.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 80% to various job sites within US.</li></ul>",
