As a leader in children’s health, we engage in meaningful programs and partnerships throughout the region so that we can improve the lives of children beyond the walls of our hospital.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Join an organization that is making a difference with the vision, “To create a world of well-being for all children.\"</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are recruiting for ambulance, air and ground!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our Children's Mercy Critical Care Transport team is a CAMTS accredited organization - in ground, rotor wing and fixed wing - working within the only free-standing children’s hospital between St. Louis and Denver.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Since 1971, we have provided support to health care facilities throughout Missouri and Kansas, as well as nationally and internationally. Our team is cross trained in neonatal and pediatric patients, with an RN/RT/EMT configuration. We handle approximately 6,000 transports per year with special services that include ECMO, High Frequency Ventilation, Nitric, therapeutic cooling, and Maternal Fetal transports.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our continued commitment to excellence in transport medicine has earned our team national and international recognition, including the honor of Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Award of Excellence from the Association of Air Medical Services. Our communication center is staffed with certified flight communication specialists and our team is ready to answer the call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Children’s Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides direct patient care through assessment, intervention and stabilization for the critically ill transport patient which promotes safety and optimal patient outcomes.</li>\n <li>Promotes a positive relationship with referring/accepting healthcare providers; serves as a clinical resource for the education and consultation needs of the healthcare team.</li>\n <li>Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to transport patients.</li>\n <li>Promotes a continuation of patient care through documentation.</li>\n <li>Participates in performance improvement and professional development activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's Degree RN Degree</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>and 3-5 years experience</li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>3 years neonatal or pediatric critical care experience</li>\n  </ul>\n </ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree Preferred</li>\n <li>One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire</li>\n <li>One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire</li>\n <li>RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO</li>\n <li>Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire</li>\n <li>Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Required</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Must be able to meet weight check in, max weight 230 lbs</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits at Children's Mercy</h2>\n<p>The benefits plans at Children’s Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
