Senior Structural Engineer - Part Time (Temp)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team with Barrios Technologies, a teammate company! ** This is a part-time temporary role not to exceed 30 weeks ** ** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. ** The Senior Structural Engineer will: Provide support to NASA/ES to Review of Commercial Crew Stress Reports to support first flight NET Jan 2024 Review of components and subsystem hardware designs Prior Experience reviewing Structural verification plans and structural analysis for NASA spaceflight hardware Fracture Control experience for spaceflight hardware, understand of NASA fracture control requirements and implementation Review Structural Analysis Reports and create a spreadsheet database with comments and questions Meet with Sierra to resolve comments and questions as needed​ Perform other duties as required Are you passionate about human space exploration, understanding the origins of the universe, and working with a passionate and diverse team to make a difference? Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.). Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements. Other Essential Functions Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
