font-size: 14px;\">Doing biopsies, paps, HRA</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Phlebotomy, collection and processing of laboratory specimens</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Vital sign collection, EKGs, Peak flow</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Point of care testing: urine dipstick, fingerstick glucose, Rapid HIV</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Collaboration</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Gathers medical information and reports to provider</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Interfaces with laboratories when necessary for patient care</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Ensures that lab results are available at the time of the visit</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Consults with medical providers at the beginning of each session/and or at a daily meeting to ensure optimum patient flow</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Informs providers when there are medication renewals; executes provider&rsquo;s orders; Makes referrals for patients</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Participates in interdisciplinary meetings to help determine policies affecting clinical care</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assists practitioners in the monitoring and maintaining of standards of care</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Performs routine clinical administrative operations including follow-up on abnormal labs, referrals, calling patients, mailing letters, and faxing</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Monitors the expiration of medical and laboratory supplies</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Monitors the temperature of vaccine and specimen refrigerators and freezers and takes appropriate actions during abnormal occurrences- e.g. abnormal temperature or electrical failure.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Maintains temperature logs.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Stocks examination rooms with supplies on a daily basis as needed</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\" style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">High School diploma or GED required</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Program</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">One (1) year full time work experience preferred</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Possession of a current basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS CPR) certificate.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Ability to work both independently and in a team.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS preferred.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Ability to speak Spanish or Asian is strongly preferred.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;
