Here, you will make an impact by:</p><ul><li><p>Promoting a safe and sustainable working environment through modeling safe behaviors as well as recognizing and resolving safety related problems.</p></li><li><p>Establishing priorities and allocating work assignments in order to meet specific daily production requirements using lean management processes to meet customer expectations</p></li><li><p>Monitoring production rates, yields, and quality of products routinely, communicating results to employees and leveraging continuous improvement tools to improve scheduling, quality, and efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Leading, coaching and developing employees through direct supervisor, floor presence, monitoring and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, overseeing training completion, policy administration and participating in hiring processes. May include contingent workers.</p></li><li><p>Representing plant leadership team through supporting initiatives across the plant, including but not limited to supervision coverage for alternative shifts, being on-call and servicing as a primary plant management representative</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise  </b></p><p>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>High School Diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to the start)</p></li><li><p>Six (6) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution</p></li><li><p>Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a private, public, government of military environment  </p></li><li><p>Experience with participating in daily tier management process and participating in improvement projects (kaizens)</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of material controls/warehousing/manufacturing related supply chain</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work location:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Nevada-MO</b></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel</b></p><p><b>Relocation Assistance: May be authorized</b></p><p></p><p><u><b>This position requires the ability to work during the weekday night shift</b></u></p><p></p><p><b>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</b></p><p></p><p><b>Supporting Your Well-being</b> </p><p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
