Technical Skills: Drive: Deep, practical derivatives trading expertise: 10+ years of experience in a senior trading or trading-adjacent role with a deep focus on OTC derivatives (e.g., IR Swaps, FX Forwards/Options, Structured Products). A strong, practical understanding of the entire derivatives trade lifecycle, market microstructure, and the day-to-day realities of a trading environment. Deep familiarity with derivatives legal frameworks (ISDA/CSA) and the regulatory landscape for derivatives trading. Experience in both traditional finance and cryptocurrency markets Build: Experience building a crypto derivatives trading desk or leading trading-related infrastructure projects from the ground up. Past experience leading large-scale regulatory or infrastructure projects for a trading business is strongly preferred. Complexity and Impact of Work: Lead: Experience leading large-scale regulatory or infrastructure projects. Leadership and Vision: An ability to maintain a strategic perspective while managing details. Manage: Managing complex, cross-functional projects is a core component. The requirement to "deliver complex projects" by working with multiple departments implies strong management of timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. Organizational Knowledge: Collaborate: The role requires "demonstrated experience working effectively across multiple departments (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Technology)," which is the essence of collaboration. Deliver: This individual will need the ability to deliver complex projects. Communication and Influence: Listen: This individual will need the ability to listen, synthesize, and respond to cross-functional stakeholders and partners in order to move projects forward Contribute: This individual is expected to make significant contributions that will shape the direction and success of key projects. Relevant FINRA registrations (Series 7, 63, 24) are a strong plus. You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
