This role ensures all fleet equipment is properly maintained, repaired efficiently, and compliant with company standards and safety requirements.</p><h2><br></h2><h2><strong><strong data-pasted=\"true\">Fleet Lead Mechanic&nbsp;</strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3><strong>Leadership &amp; Team Management</strong></h3><ul><li>Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for mechanics.</li><li>Assign tasks based on individual skill sets and workload priorities.</li><li>Hire, train, and develop mechanics to meet operational demands.</li><li>Provide ongoing training in maintenance procedures and best practices.</li><li>Manage mechanic schedules, including adjustments for workload and snow/storm events.</li></ul><h3><strong>Maintenance Operations</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Evaluate equipment conditions and identify necessary repairs.</p></li><li><p>Perform both basic maintenance and major repairs on heavy equipment, including:</p><ul><li>Loaders</li><li>Dump trucks</li><li>Sweepers</li></ul></li><li><p>Areas of repair include (but are not limited to):</p><ul><li>Engine systems</li><li>Electrical systems</li><li>Drive train</li><li>Suspension</li><li>Braking systems</li><li>Hydraulics</li></ul></li><li><p>Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance activities.</p></li><li><p>Assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance (PM) programs.</p></li></ul><h3><strong>Work Order &amp; Systems Management</strong></h3><ul><li>Generate and manage work orders in the company&rsquo;s asset management system, including estimating parts and labor.</li><li>Prioritize work orders in coordination with the General Manager and Fleet leadership.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company maintenance management systems.</li><li>Review completed work orders and repairs for quality control.</li><li>Provide regular reports on repair activities and status.</li></ul><h3><strong>Operational Support</strong></h3><ul><li>Provide maintenance support during all snow events or emergency operations.</li><li>Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.</li></ul><h2><strong><strong data-pasted=\"true\">Fleet Lead Mechanic&nbsp;</strong>Requirements&nbsp;</strong></h2><ul><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic and/or Lead Mechanic.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required.</li><li>Ability to pass airport badge screening requirements.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Physical ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, and carry.</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).</li><li>Experience using diesel diagnostic software for troubleshooting heavy equipment.</li><li>Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments.</li><li>Positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.</li><li>Willingness to travel as needed (preferred).</li></ul></div><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">Outworx Group and its family of companies is an EEO/AA Employer.
